The Creel now has the image of a blue lobster as its favicon. Why blue? Well because lobsters ARE blue – while they're alive! They go red only when boiled. I've heard it said that that this is to make us blush with shame at our action of dropping them into boiling water. I take comfort from the fact that 1) it kills them instantly, and 2) they're so delicious that I'm prepared to blush a little at the treatment I mete out to them.
So a blue lobster favicon for The Creel it is, but here are some red Orkney lobsters I got from one of the fishermen in St Margaret's Hope. (I cooked these as a treat for myself and some friends few days ago):
