takes you to Windwick, a lovely bay, a gorgeous little stack I call the 'miniman of Hoy' (even though we're on South Ronaldsay), and an impressive clifftop walk...
It was an easy walk to the promontory next to the stack, from where we were able to enjoy this view of the 200ft cliffs:
They were alive with nesting seabirds, like this nestling gull
and better still, this puffin standing guard over his nest
By the way, Windwick Bay is equally impressive, but rather different in winter. Here's a picture from December 31st last year:
