The tourist season is drawing to a close here in Orkney. The Creel has no guests for the whole week for the first time since April. My sons and I found ourselves relaxing and, with the weather still gorgeous, going out and about to check up on the places so many of our guests visited during their stays. (We had to make sure you left them in good order!)
Last Sunday, whilst pick-nicking at the Kitchener Memorial, we found ourselves chatting about how nice, interesting and fun all our guests had been throughout the summer. We agreed that the Creel's next blog post – here it is – should be a great big, warm, and heartfelt thank you to all who came to stay with us this year. It was a real pleasure to meet you and enjoy your company. It was doubly a pleasure to see you enjoying being in wonderful Orkney and for the Creel's being, in a small way, able to facilitate that. Thank you all. And greetings to you now that you're safely back in your homes far and near – Hong Kong and Australia, Canada and the USA, all over Europe, the deep South (England) and the South (Scotland). There's not one of you we would not be delighted to see again! These are some photos I took during our drive to the Kitchener Memorial at Marwick Head, last Sunday.
